FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Let Me Help
WHAT IS CASH BASED/PRIVATE PAY/SELF PAY PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Cash based physical therapy allows for the patient to pay directly for services provided. It avoids the use of insurance companies and allows for the patient and the therapist to work together to control each aspect of treatment.
It does not require a doctor's referral or subsequent doctor visits before beginning therapy. This can delay or stall progress while waiting for physical therapy services. There are no visit limits, surprise bills, or treatment restrictions as typically found when going through insurance companies.
DO I NEED TO PAY CASH?
Cash based does not necessarily mean you must pay in cash. Various forms of payment are accepted, but all payments must be paid at or prior to the time of service.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE EVALUATION?
The first visit is always an initial evaluation. This evaluation begins with communication. You and I will get to know each other better by having a discussion about your lifestyle, daily tasks, work tasks, and what is difficult for you due to pain. A detailed and thorough assessment of your movements, range of motion, and strength is then taken. Then some treatment will begin at the initial evaluation. This may consist of manual therapy, exercise, or some combination of the two depending on your needs.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE FOLLOW UP VISITS?
This question is more thoroughly answered during your initial evaluation. This depends upon your needs. Usually this will consist of manual therapy, exercise, and patient education. The benefit of this cash based style of treatment is that patients have more input throughout their treatment.
